Subtraction can be a little tricky, because you have to remember to borrow 60 minutes from the hour. Solve the problems and write your answers in hours and minutes.

Remember not to type in any space into your answers, else they will be marked wrong. When you are done, click on Score Me. Repeat the exercise until you get 100%.

 

a. 6 hr 15 min - 2 hr 0 min = hours minutes

b. 6 hr 20 min - 1 hr 15 min = hours minutes

c. 3 hr 45 min - 1 hr 5 min = hours minutes

d. 3 hr 5 min - 1 hr 35 min = hours minutes

e. 5 hr 15 min - 1 hr 30 min = hours minutes

f. 5 hr 20 min - 1 hr 30 min = hours minutes

g. 5 hr 25 min - 1 hr 0 min = hours minutes

h. 3 hr 30 min - 1 hr 15 min = hours minutes

i. 5 hr 55 min - 1 hr 35 min = hours minutes

j. 4 hr 20 min - 1 hr 5 min = hours minutes
