Two days later, Amy rushed to Olga. "Oh my goodness. Accounts just send word that they've received a cheque from Gadgets2Go."
Olga smiled wryly. Final notices tend to have such effects on people. "Well, it is best that you get down to writing a thank-you letter to them. Also make sure to remind them that another payment is due soon."
"What about the things that Dr. Soon talked through with them this morning?"
"Does it have anything to do with the invoices?"
"Yes, but he still needs to confirm it with the Accounts Manager."
"Then wait for him to tell you what everyone has agreed on. That way you can send the confirmation as part of the thank-you note."
Later that day, Dr. Soon came back and updated Amy on what had transpired. Following Olga's advice, she typed it into the thank-you letter which also acted as a confirmation of receipt of payment.

Dear Ms. Spins
Re: Receipt of Payment
We are happy to inform you that we have received cheque number 333111 for the amount of $3,000.00. This is full payment for invoice number HAN101. Service will continue as usual for the following month.
As per our discussion this morning, if your office could effect payment of invoice number HAN212 by the end of the month, we will also waive the monthly interest of 8% charged on late payment.
Thank you for deciding to continue with our service.
Yours truly,

Dr. Soon Le Mah
A huge weight fell off Amy's shoulder as she reread the letter. Everything was going to be all right now, and she was so glad that Olga was around to help her when she didn't know what to do.
