This worksheet will help you get used to the concept of adding numerators (numbers at the top) and to see how the denominator (number at the bottom) is affected. Remember not to type in any space into your answers, else they will be marked wrong.

c.   2/8 + 3/8 = /8

d.   2/5 + 2/5 = /5

e.   1/3 + 1/3 = 2/

f.   5/9 + 2/9 = /9

g.   5/11 + 3/11 = 8/

h.   3/6 + 2/6 = /6

i.   2/10 + 7/10 = /10

j.   1/4 + 2/4 = 3/
